 In the gold and silver industry, we use the term ‘evaluation’ rather than ‘appraisal.’ An appraisal is typically conducted for insurance purposes and reflects the value of a piece at the time it was purchased. What we provide is a real-world evaluation—an assessment of what your item is worth today. Think of it like a new car: once it leaves the lot, its value begins to decrease. Jewelry follows a similar pattern; when a style is no longer trending, its current market value naturally declines. There are exceptions to this rule, and we will let you know that during evaluations.
